About Ian: For over 35 years I have used my Quantity Surveying skills in the private and public sectors for main contractors (including design and build), specialist subcontractors and private clients.

Since joining Cooper & Hall in 2005, clients have benefited from my knowledge of measurement and valuation, cost planning, BQ production, build options, value engineering, risk assessment, PFI, and design and build.

I have worked on a diverse portfolio of buildings through various procurement routes, including PFI, D&B framework agreements and more traditional forms of contracting.

I am regularly called on as an expert witness in dispute resolution, where my impartiality in the assessment of measurement and value has maintained a proud 100% record in resolving cases without recourse to adjudication, arbitration or litigation. My internal responsibilities are QA and training.
