Profile: Mat Evans

What I bring to Cooper & Hall:
With over 10 years’ experience in construction, I’ve developed a wide and varied understanding of the industry. This includes working in various sectors, including high rise residential, mixed-use, university, commercial, office, government/council, residential fit outs and extensions.

I’ve developed a good understanding of the Joint Contracts Tribunal (JCT) and New Engineering Contract (NEC) suite of contracts. This covers their formation, risk assessment, negotiation, and administration of the contract from a subcontractor, main contractor, client and PQS perspective. I also have some experience in insolvency debt recovery and Bill of Quantities preparation.

More about me:
I’m a sports enthusiast. An unfortunate injury ended my competitive playing days well over 10 years ago, but I try to keep up with anything football (‘Up the Boro’) and Rugby Union related, while my golf skills continue to spoil nice walks! I also enjoy the occasional music gig.
