Trainee QS Jorden Newby has a head start in the world of buildings – having gained a construction qualification and helped in her family’s architecture business.
Jorden arrives at Cooper & Hall with a Level 3 in Construction and Built Environment from Leeds College of Building, and has started a HNC in Construction at the college. She has also spent time helping her architect dad in York.
She said: “I’m delighted to have been taken on; quantity surveying is definitely where I want to be. I’ve been surprised at how many different aspects to the job there are. I’m looking forward to exploring all that the role has to offer.”
C&H Director Phil Cooper said: “Jorden is keen to learn all aspects of quantity surveying. Our excellent team will help her add to the skills she already has around the built environment.”
